Beth Pickett is the artist in residence at Marlborough College. Born in 2004, with a BA at Cambridge School of art, Beth explores storytelling and hidden beauty through the process of printmaking. This dry point etching, Aging 1, explores themes of age and history through the voice of a tree. To create it, Beth started with a mid-tone zinc jet plate, using a Dremel to create darkened areas, and a burnisher to burnish the plate back to white in areas.
