The recipient will receive an exhibition opportunity.
St Cuthberts Mill Award
The recipient will receive 25 sheets of Somerset 250gsm printmaking paper, worth over £80.
Surface Gallery Award
The recipient will receive a copy of 'The Art of Looking Sideways' by Alan Fletcher.
Curated Awards
The following awards are curated by the Derby Print Open team:
The Young Printmaker Award
This award is given to celebrate and encourage the development of young printmakers in their craft. The winner of this award will win a free printmaking course at Green Door Printmaking Studio and free entry to the 2027 Derby Print Open.
The Chroma Award
This award is given to celebrate the use of colour in printmaking. The winner of this award will win free guaranteed entry to the 2027 Derby Print Open.
The Monochrome Award
This award is given to celebrate the use of black and white in printmaking. The winner of this award will win free guaranteed entry to the 2027 Derby Print Open.
People's Choice Award
In addition to the awards listed above, there will also be a People's Choice Award which will be voted for by the public. The recipient of this award will be announced at the end of the exhibition and the winner will receive free guaranteed entry to the 2027 Derby Print Open.
How to Vote
Learn more about each of the participating printmakers from this year’s Derby Print Open and vote for your favourite print before the exhibition ends.
To vote, simply complete a voting slip at our main venue (Banks Mill Studios) during the exhibition period.
The recipient of this award will be announced at the end of the exhibition period.
