All submission fees are non-refundable and offset costs incurred for administration, installation and promotional literature. Upon selection, printmakers will be invited to include up to two (2) additional unframed prints from the same edition (where possible).

The exhibition is open to all artists (over the age of 16), based in the UK, working within the medium of printmaking.

All prints submitted must be original, hand-pulled fine art prints, produced using a recognised printmaking technique on archival papers. Please note, works produced using AI, mixed-media and/or prints produced digitally will not be accepted. Accepted work should be framed and provided with D-rings & picture wire.

All 3D work must have an origin in printmaking, or incorporate printmaking in its creation. We are particularly interested in submissions of ceramics, artist’s books, sculptural works and textiles.

Applications are accepted incorporating any theme or subject, but works must not have been shown in the Derby Print Open previously and must have been produced within the last five years (2022-2026).

All work available for sale will be subject to a 30% commission, if sold. Not for sale (NFS) work is also accepted. Printmakers will be notified of sales at the end of the exhibition period and asked to provide an invoice and preferred payment method.

Selected work for the Derby Print Open should be delivered to the studio between April 20th - 26th (excluding Tues). Shortlisted printmakers will be given the opportunity to book a delivery slot with our team prior to this delivery period.

Printmakers who would prefer to post selected work should ensure it is securely packaged and posted to the studio within this delivery period via a trackable service. Posted work should arrive with us on or prior to April 26th.

Unsold work should be collected from the studio between July 6th - 12th (excluding Tues). Alternatively, printmakers can arrange a postal collection for their work to be returned to them. Please note, any uncollected works will be subject to a surcharge.

You will need to provide the following details per submission:

• Title
• Medium
• Price (to include 30% commission if available for sale)
• Dimensions of work
• Edition number (if part of an original print edition)

As part of your application, please also provide the following:

• Image(s) of your submission(s) *
• A short artist’s statement (max. 300 words)
• Your contact details (and/or social media)
• A photograph of you
• Your order number (submission fee)

* Provision of images: Please ensure that images submitted as part of the application process are no larger than 1MB. Please include your full name and the title in the file name (eg: Firstname_Surname-Title.jpg). Photographs of prints should be taken head-on, and not behind glass.

Any work not submitted in this manner may not be included for selection.
