JD Parkinson

As a commercial fine art printer JD Parkinson is tasked with creating precise and consistent multiples, but in his own artistic practice he attempts to  experiment and push ideas through printmaking that explore variability and individuality.

Feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated by the many aspects involved in daily life, his recent work is interested in examining how much autonomy we have
as individuals. By working with abstraction, basic forms and limited colours, he explores how working with set limitations helps push his creativity. The final results are similar to the chaos of life. The journey is what counts, and the unforeseen tangents are often the most interesting paths to follow.
