Marie enjoys going from an initial idea, to sketches to compose a picture and then moving on to paint, felt, sew or print it. She finds it very satisfying to see an idea come to fruition in a frame!. Her inspiration comes from in her surroundings, particularly the Derbyshire countryside and the small village which she lives in, near Ashby de la Zouch.
