Nicki’s practice combines carefully planned and experimental printmaking to explore changing landscapes. Using a variety of techniques and processes, their work moves between the slow precision of mokuhanga where designs are carefully carved into wood and the more intuitive approach of collagraph, where textured surfaces and layered re-used and waste materials are built up to create richly tactile prints.
