Ruth has loved drawing and painting since childhood. Born in Nottingham, Ruth has worked in Scotland and Yorkshire and London where she currently resides.

In 2017, Ruth attended a printmaking class in etching at Thames-side Print Studio, becoming a member in 2018. Her practise incorporates drawing into hard ground to create the initial image, using her inherited dipping pens which achieve a lovely effect at this stage of the image, she then applies aquatint, followed by burnishing.

Ruth’s still life series of fruit has been very well received, with 3 prints showing at Woolwich Print Fair and 2 on the rack of a local gallery. Her work has been on display in the mini print exhibition at Southbank Printmakers in 2023 and at The Gallery at Green & Stone in Chelsea in their Works On Paper Exhibition in 2024.
