As a self taught printmaker (with a full time job), I use as much of my spare time as I can visualising, planning and creating my prints. While the image is the final outcome, I find all the processes involved equally enthralling. As with the reduction method itself, taking away from one surface to add to another seems destructive, yet results in a particular quality of image.

Having been brought up in the countryside, I am drawn to all the colours, textures and contrasts of nature. I love the wildness of the woods as much as a beautifully ploughed field, and will always include the human influence in a landscape.
