The exhibition is open to all artists (over the age of 16), based in the United Kingdom, working purely within the medium of printmaking.
All prints submitted must be original, hand-pulled fine art prints, produced using a recognised printmaking technique on archival papers (hand coloured, mixed-media and/or digital pieces will not be accepted). If you are unsure that your print(s) meet these requirements, please contact us to confirm before submitting your application form.
All submission fees are non-refundable and offset costs incurred for administration, installation and promotional literature for the Derby Print Open.
Unframed Work Submissions
£25 per entrant
We invite printmakers to submit up to five (5) original unframed prints per entrant smaller than A3 in size. Upon selection, printmakers will be invited to include up to five (5) additional unframed prints from the same edition (where possible).
Applications are accepted incorporating any theme or subject, but works must not have been shown in the Derby Print Open previously.
Entrants can submit up to 5 unframed prints. Subject to selection, each entrant will be guaranteed to exhibit at least one of the submitted works provided all other guidelines are adhered to.
We may also request (up to 5) additional unframed prints from the same edition if work is selected. These unframed works will be made available for sale online via our shop.
All work available for sale will be subject to a 30% commission, if sold.
All work must be appropriately signed & editioned by the artist. Please note, we do not require work to part of an edition (monotypes are accepted).
Previously exhibited work is acceptable as long as the above requirements are met.
