I am an artist and printmaker living in London. I am however originally from Stourport on Severn in Worcestershire.

This dry point etching is of Stourport bridge which was built in 1870. Stourport was a town built up from the Industrial Revolution. Worcestershire and Birmingham in Warwickshire used to be the industrial capital of the world, producing iron, silver and Kidderminster, near Stourport produced a third of the world’s carpets at one time. My Grandparents were carpet weavers and my father was a vehicle builder in West Bromwich . I have illustrated my ancestors’ history in my printmaking practice. In this etching I have illustrated the iron Stourport bridge but I’ve also depicted the wonderful nature that co exists around industry.
