Isobel Shackleton

I am a painter and printmaker, a retired art teacher who loves the contrasts between the two disciplines. My printmaking is precise and technical whereas my paintings are loose with free expressive brushstrokes. In my printmaking I love architectural images, our old industrial heritage, and a sense of decay and deterioration. In my paintings I love the freshness and colour of the landscape, flowers, and still life studies. I love reflections, distortions, and shadows, and try to include this in all my work.
