Bianca Wallis-Salmon

I am a photographer and printmaker based in Leeds. I studied Art and Design at Leeds College of Art or Leeds Arts University, as it is now known. I liked it so much that I went onto study photography there and graduated in 2013. Since then I’ve worked as a freelance photographer within music, advertising and portraiture. More recently, I’ve been developing my photography through printmaking, in particular the process of polymer photogravure.

I am drawn to the way light, perspective and timing can reveal the unexpected and often overlooked intricacies of people, nature and everyday life. I am interested in not only creating visually compelling images, but to also elevate the mundane into the obscure or extraordinary.
