Will Haywood

Will has been connected to printing since birth through his father’s Nottingham-based family business, however, he has not been involved beyond childhood visits to his father and grandfather at work. It is this connection though that nudged him to attend a Linocut printmaking workshop on a whim in July 2023.

Here he caught the printmaking bug, becoming a member of the host studio Holyhead Printmakers in Coventry that week and has been experimenting with print ever since. His current work draws on the lace-making history of Nottingham through the production of lino print lace.

Will is also a member of the Art Riot Collective in where he is part of the ‘My Two Brains’ project, drawing on the photography work of Jason Scott Tilley to produce a mixed-media piece as part of an exhibition exploring memory and neurodiversity.
