After finishing my course at the RCA I came to live and work on the North York Moors. In the time I have been here I have taught in Colleges and schools in and around the area, while continuing to paint and print. I have exhibited widely both in this country and abroad and now, finding myself retired, I spend most of my time practising my art.

My subjects are drawn from my immediate surroundings and my love for literature, particularly the latter part of the last century. Lockdown has led me to a greater freedom in my work generally, as I am fortunate to live in a very beautiful place with none of the depressing restrictions experienced by others.
