PRINTMAKER PROFILE

BIOGRAPHY

I’m Nicole Revy, a relief printmaker based in Dorset, UK, specialising in hand-crafted woodcut and linocut prints. With a degree in Illustration from the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), my work is deeply influenced by narrative, and I use the medium of print to tell stories that reflect my personal experiences and the world around me.

My prints explore themes of womanhood, body image, connection to nature, body autonomy, and empowerment. I’m passionate about using art as a tool to express the complexities of the human experience—particularly the power of embracing our bodies and the importance of self-empowerment. I want my work to inspire reflection and conversation, inviting viewers to connect on a personal level while celebrating the strength and beauty found in vulnerability.

Through my hand-cut woodblocks and linocuts, I create rich, tactile prints that reflect both my artistic process and the stories I aim to tell. Each piece is carefully crafted, allowing me to merge my passion for illustration with my love of printmaking, bringing each narrative to life in a unique and tangible form. My work has been stocked in shops globally, and I’m grateful to have received recognition through various awards and regular exhibitions.

As an artist, I believe in the power of storytelling and the importance of creating art that not only resonates with others but also allows for a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world we inhabit. My prints are an invitation to explore, reflect, and empower—celebrating who we are and our connection to the world around us.
