Living in Derbyshire has had a great impact and influence upon my current work. I have been developing my independent painting practice, working from life and within my studio.

I currently look upon an industry that is considered to be invasive and somewhat an eye sore, but in truth we wouldn’t have many items without the quarrying industry, never mind the Heritage and history that has been created. I give an insight into the working environment and the after effects that people are unaware of and what I consider to be a beautiful and important part of society. I am now starting to expand into other industrial area, now looking up to Scotland, an area of which I love and has a close personal meaning to me.
