Kathryn Bell

I am a printmaker and painter based in Durham, with a first class honours degree in fine art.

I work with degree students in the print department of The Northern School of Art, and previously worked as a print technician at The University of Sunderland.

I love making paintings of images in nature before translating them into print, often abstracting them.

Over the last year I have explored the use of shapes found in crochet and this motif appears in my submission for this year’s exhibition.

I believe in following inspiration when it arrives and so my love of crochet combined with my love of print means that c’est bon ici.
