Jane Taylor
PRINTMAKER PROFILE
BIOGRAPHY
My background is in textile design. After my degree at Loughborough College of Art & Design, I worked in the embroidery industry for a few years, before moving into secondary school education. Where I taught a variety of subjects, including art, textiles, graphic design, & food technology.
Since leaving mainstream education to concentrate on raising my family, I have recently started developing my creative self again. This takes many forms, I love the natural world & the countryside in which I live, these inspire me for my own personal work. I would describe my work as eclectic, I love texture, colour, pattern, & mark making. More recently, I have discovered a love for print, especially lino printing, but also dry point etching. I also work with community groups to create a variety of different projects, including printing, mosaic & textile work.
