Jacqui Jones
PRINTMAKER PROFILE
BIOGRAPHY
Jacqui Jones is a retired teacher, now working hard to establish her career as a printmaker, working mainly with sustainable relief and lithographic techniques.
Her relief prints tend to be large, brightly coloured, geometric abstracts, whereas her lithographic work is more representational and organic.
Passionate about environmentally friendly art, her work blends traditional printmaking methods with eco-conscious innovation. Jacqui works with lino or wood because they are compostable, and uses non-toxic lithographic processes in which the plates are etched with lemon juice, cola or gum arabic instead of harsh chemicals.
With a background in education, Jacqui continues to share knowledge through workshops and exhibitions, inspiring others to explore greener artistic practices.
