Over the last few years I have been fascinated by the use of Brusho pigments that are water based and have very high colour content. They particularly lend themselves to my style of direct observation drawings and paintings in sketch books. This involves visiting Cathedrals, medieval churches and museums in the UK and particularly Ost-Holstein in Northern Germany.

The landscape of Ost-Holstein is rural and undulating and situated by the Baltic sea. My annual visits in the summer provide me with constant inspiration. I also meet local German artists and craftspersons who provide me with opportunities to exhibit work.
