Emily Pallett

PRINTMAKER PROFILE

ARTIST STATEMENT

Emily Pallett is a contemporary artist predominantly working with printmaking as a vehicle to explore language and communication. Print is important within her practice because of the tactile and analogue qualities of the process, which relates to her interest in humankinds’ relationship with seemingly ephemeral objects, such as manuscripts and books, due to the drastic development of the digital. She often features text of a monochrome nature in her work and also experiments with artist books.

Emily Pallett studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at the University of Derby and is a People of Print member. She is also a theatrical scenic artist and an art technician at Derby College.
