ARTIST STATEMENT

Edward Jeavons is a Painter and Printmaker. He studied at Leeds Metropolitan University (BA Hons) and Chelsea College of Art and Design (MA). In 2019 he completed a 5-month residency at Shanghai, where he exhibited a series of new woodcut prints. This was the culmination of 3 years of living and working in China.

He has exhibited in recent group and solo shows across the UK such as Dog and Bone Gallery in Brighton, ‘Hi, Hey! Hello’ (2023) Fresh Salad (Online) ‘Abacus’ (2023) Artspace, Cambridge ‘We Are Here’ (2022) New Art Gallery Walsall West Midlands Open (2022) Lido Stores, Margate, Lido Open (2022) The Old Biscuit Factory, Bermondsey, London. ‘Nou Wave I’ (2019), Museum in the Park, Stroud, ‘Material Flow’ (2019) Guggleton Art Gallery, Dorset, ‘Go Figure’ (2019). He was featured in a book on abstract painting entitled ‘The State of Art’ published by BareHill Publishing, and was a recipient of an Arts Council England Individual Artist Award.
