David William Sampson is a ceramicist, the work he creates encourages the imperfections of cracks, pin-holed glazing, mixing of clay and patchy slips which are often seen as defects, but the body of work that enhances and celebrates flaws. Each, still beautiful and valid in their own right. They have been made imperfectly-perfect with confident construction and finishes applied.

These are portraits of my children using the same ethos of perfections and learning the rules to only break them in my creative practice, all prints have a minimum of 20 layers each layering colours, tones and shades over each other to create beautiful vibrant individual pieces of art.

All are on short runs and representations of my children that I create.
