Anna Stanley

I’m a printmaker and embroiderer living in Staffordshire. I am developing work inspired by vintage domestic textiles and the stories behind the fabric.

I use collagraph printing to create blind embossed and printed surfaces on paper which are then embellished with stitch. My current work explores techniques that integrate the non-traditional pairing of print and stitch to produce unique surfaces.

My motivation is to produce beautiful work that stretches my practice in its creation and encourages the viewer to consider print and textiles in a new way.
