PRINTMAKER PROFILE
ARTIST STATEMENT
Like Klee… my pencil takes a line for a walk to see what will happen. I love the element of chance in creativity and often use Photography or Collage to produce an idea. I am fascinated by the fleeting nature of life and the fingerprints of past lives.
My work feels and reaches for fragments of memories intuitively. It has a voice of its own, because my style is individual and unusual, based on my own life experience and my dream journal of unconscious thought. There is a veil on the spirit which, if lifted, will show the tattered threads of memory spiralling upwards towards an image. These are works with a modern voice; always interweaving the narrative of the storyteller-illustrator to recreate lost voices.
