PRINTMAKER PROFILE
BIOGRAPHY
My artistic approach is deeply rooted in skill and craftsmanship, aspects I consider essential to my practice. The art of etching continues to fascinate me every day, the known and the unpredictable, its ability to evoke a sense of wonder and exploration. Etching can be understood as a resistant act: slow in a fast world, handmade in a digital age, tactile in a culture of the screen. It is a quiet refusal of efficiency and productivity in favor of slowness, attention, and reflection. It is a practice of layering, just as a journey is a layering of steps, thoughts, and perceptions
The images are inspired by a diverse range of sources, including everyday encounters, extended walks, personal memories, sketches, found imagery, and photographs. By intertwining these elements, I aim to create compositions that resonate with both familiarity and a touch of enigma, encouraging viewers to reflect upon their own experiences and emotions.
