Jon Mackay is a full time silk screen printer based near Oxford. Permeating through his work is an interest in the edges of memory, the way that memories fragment and merge and fade. The way the mind plays tricks and confuses things, merging memories poetry and lyrics. An interest in the way a place or memory makes the viewer feel, the joy of the moment that is fleeting, something Jon endeavours to convey through the use of mark making and colour within each prints.
