Anne Brierley

I am a printmaker and painter based in the West Midlands, and a member of Birmingham Printmakers. I exhibit and sell my work as well as taking private and public commissions. I have shown widely and my work is in permanent collections as well as the public realm.

In my work I like to be playful. I will often make varied editions that belong to one ‘family’ of prints – for me its an opportunity to experiment and push the image further using the medium of the printmaking process. I think the sense of play and wonder is central to driving my work – ‘what happens if I do this..’ is the question I’m always asking.
